Jinhai Albemarle consists of 2 associated companies - Ningbo Jinhai Albemarle Chemical & Industry Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Albemarle Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. Together, we engage in the research, development, and manufacture of antioxidants, alkyl phenols, and blending stabilizers for polymers. Using the most advanced equipment and technology, Jinhai Albemarle has become the biggest antioxidant manufacturer in China with a capacity of 18,000mt/y of antioxidants, 15,000mt/y of alkyl phenols and 4,000mt/y of blending stabilizers.

In July 2008, Albemarle Corporation increased investment to 100% ownership of Jinhai Albemarle. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, USA, Albemarle is a leading global developer, manufacturer, and marketer of highly engineered specialty chemicals. With over 4,100 employees in 46 locations around the world, Albemarle serves more than 3,400 customers throughout 100 countries including: manufacturers of consumer electronics, building and construction materials, automotive parts, packaging, pharmachemicals and agrichemicals, and petroleum refiners. Operations are managed and reported as three business segments: Polymer Additives, Catalysts and Fine Chemicals.

Jinhai Albemarle has been recommended by the China Additive Association as the key member for drafting trade standards for antioxidants 1010, 1076, 168, 3114, and 626. AT-3114 has been enlisted in the National Torch Program. The blending stabilizer formulation for polymers is pending patent approval (200310101792.3). Other technologies are also pending patents and have since passed the preliminary checkup. The Ministry of Science and Technology recently awarded Ningbo Jinhai Albemarle as the National High and New-Tech Enterprise while Shanghai Jinhai Albemarle was given a Prestigious Enterprise in Shanghai award.

Our products have been widely used in PE, PP, PS, PA, POM, ABS, PVC and rubber with a predominant market share that covers both compounding and petrochemical enterprises in China. Meanwhile, one-third of our products are sold in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia to serve our global customers. This portion will grow in the future with Albemarle’s strong customer base throughout the world.
